Project Background
The Chunfeng Tunnel is a key municipal infrastructure project in Shenzhen, serving as a vital link between Luohu and Longgang districts. The tunnel passes through the urban built-up area with complex geological conditions; certain sections are located within weak strata, requiring glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) bars as temporary reinforcement for the diaphragm wall of the shield machine launch shaft.

Solution
The project utilizes our company's dedicated glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) bars for the shield tunnel launch shaft, serving as temporary reinforcement for the underground continuous wall. The product achieves a tensile strength of 800MPa, meeting the temporary load-bearing requirements of the retaining structure. It can be directly cut during shield passage without damaging the cutting tools. Prefabricated to design specifications in the factory, the bars are simply tied and installed on-site, ensuring convenient and efficient construction.
